This week, I celebrate my 33rd anniversary as a professional photographer. I'm relaxing in my front yard here in Nowhere people watching and reflecting on my career. I probably should be out shooting. But a good book and a bottle of wine seem to fit the moment. The one thing I like telling folks when they learn I'm a photographer is that I haven't worked a day in my life. And in most ways that's the truth. I have loved what I do since the day I began my career. So, here I reflect. And it reminds of what one of our U.S. Presidents had to say about my profession: "One of the great things about a book is that sometimes there are some fantastic pictures." - G.W. Bush
Thanks George. I like pictures too. Life Is Good.

Getting Nowhere Fast
Nowhere residents unanimously agreed last year to enter the modern world by installing traffic lights in town. The two lights were located on each end of town in hopes of luring passersby to come to a complete stop. And visit. On the other hand, no stop signs are permitted on any other street corner in town. The thought is that local residents often need to get to Nowhere fast.

Ay Carumba!
My photographer son Ryan and I spent nearly a year photographing the chile pepper industry here in Arizona for travel magazine Arizona Highways. We just learned that the story will be featured in the forthcoming October issue. During our travels across the state photographing various parts of the chile industry, we were utterly surprised to learn how hot this business has become. Literally and figuratively. We loved chiles before starting this photo project. We love them even more now. We plan a special announcement on October 1st regarding some additional chile projects we are involved with. Stop back here on October one. In the meantime, eat more chiles!
